Shipping of the books is going along pretty smoothly now. Over the last couple of days I've shipped at least a few hundred orders. I optimistically expect all domestic orders to be in the mail by next weekend. We'll see how that works out. Then I finish up the international orders, which inevitably take longer to package and ship. Damned customs slips.
Thank you all for your continued patience. As I've said, I'm not going to be walking into this situation blindly when it comes time to ship Volume 2.
I'm starting to recover from the last few weeks... the conventions, the parties, the work. I've got at least a couple of months of rest, to focus on projects around here, before I start doing conventions again. I have two more to go, and then I'm done for 2004. I'll be at Ubercon in October and Nekocon in November.
At these two conventions I plan to start a convention tradition that I've wanted to do for a while now. If I manage to pull it off, at each convention I attend from now on, attendees will have a chance to buy a limited edition signed and numbered, high quality CAD print. The print will be different for each convention. There will be a very limited number available, and once they're gone, they're gone forever. I'm thinking a small number, like 50-100 for each convention. I'm going to go all out, if I can. Certificate of authenticity, matted, full-color glossy prints, the works. It should make for a really neat CAD collectable. More on that as I approach Ubercon.
Oh, and the Otakon 2004 report is up, and I've added a few new pictures since it was first posted.
One last thing- If you pick up the City of Heroes comic book, issue #3 this month, you can flip to the back and see the first full page comic strip I did for them. There will be one in every month's issue.
