Comic Stuff:

This will be the last newspost until next week. I'm leaving for Baltimore, Maryland to attend Otakon. I'll be down in the dealer's room with The ZeStuff crew, Brian "Hurricane Magnet" Clevinger, and Scott "Mackerel is my favorite color" Ramsoomair. Be sure to come say hello. I'll be easy to find. Just look for the HUGE Ctrl+Alt+Del banner with Ethan and Lucas on it.

I'll be back around Monday. Monday's comic may be up a little late, depending on what time I get back and how tired I am. You have been forewarned.

World of Warcraft stuff:

Being a part of The Rapscallions and The Bloody Carrots has been a blast. I've been grouping with members of both guilds, and everyone I've met so far has been really great.

I've also had more than a few encounters with members of Panda Attack, and they have all turned out to be really awesome people as well.

It's just generally a really friendly atmosphere which amplifies the gun factor by a gazillion and two. It doesn't even bother me if I have to wait in line for thirty minutes to get in, because I know once I'm in I'll be having such a good time. I just start the game thirty minutes before I plan to play.

The Rapscallions has hit 500 members (more than that actually, it just stops counting at 500) and The Bloody Carrots are growing fast. Currently recruiting for The Rapscallions is closed.

Anyone in The Rapscallions who is not level 5 by Monday will be removed from the guild. Level 5 takes all of 10 minutes to get, so it should be no problem for even people with busy schedules. Then a short time afterwards I will purge everyone under level 10. By then some spots in the guild will have freed up, and we will open recruiting again to players Level 10 and up.

There are currently no leveling requirements for The Bloody Carrots.

One last thing. I'm here to play the game just like the rest of you. I hope to get to group/raid with each and every one of you at some point. While I'm leveling, I usually have a Do Not Disturb message up. If I don't respond to you, please don't think I'm ignoring you. I play a Priest. In groups it is my job to keep people alive. I can't do that job if I am trying to answer sixty /tells at once.

So please just try to understand that as much as I would love to sit and chat with everyone, if I was doing that, I wouldn't be leveling up at all. And I'm here to play just like everyone else.

FOR THE HORDE!

With permission slips

The "Horde Elementary School" took another field trip tonight, all the way to the northern reaches of Darkshore.

We staged just north of the Crossroads in the Barrens. We had two full raid groups and a third still taking invites, plus some stragglers tagging along. Well over 100 people. We then marched north to the Rampart.

Once we got there I stopped everyone to regroup, and recap our mission: A trek through Ashenvale to Darkshore, to say hello to the Night Elves.

As we traveled the road across Ashenvale, we were packed so thick we were a stampeding blur of awesome. Nothing on that road survived.

As luck would have it, our 100+ raiders ran into a battle already taking place outside of Astranaar. It was a pretty even fight... until we showed up. I wish I had a picture of some of those Alliance faces when over 100 angry Horde came barreling up the road to join the fight.

We were a force to be feared. To their credit, some Alliance did stay to fight. They lasted a good five seconds. Bravo. ;)

The rest of them turned tail and fled, and we chased them all the way back to the bridge of Astranaar.

We camped out for a while, but then the guards decided to take part, so we moved south, circumventing the town and continuing westward. We knew that by this time the call for reinforcements had been made, so we wanted to stay mobile. Our troops were urged to keep up.

We met all sorts of interesting people on our journey. We met Lads that were Fancy...

And people who 'Focked' Fruit.

And more fanciful gentlemen.

Even some Keepers of a strange object called "Wang".

We finally arrived at Auberdine, and went in to greet the natives!

Awesome sauce indeed.

We made it as far as the docks, but the guards were out in full force, and we were no match for them.

Between the guards and the gathering Alliance forces, we were unable to rally a successful second attack. We were divided and conquered, but we hearthed to fight another day!

Well damn

Jerry-

I'm down in Baltimore at Otakon right now, and I don't do the email thing on my laptop, or I would have sent a straight message. But hell, that's great news man.

Congratulations to both of you!

I'm home

Made it back home from Otakon. 7+ hour drive. Turnpike traffic. New York traffic. Bleh.

I'm pretty tired and hungry, but I'm going to work on Monday's comic. I'll try and get it finished, but if I don't it will be up shortly after I wake up. (read: mid-day)

Did it

It's 1am, but I got today's comic finished before I fell asleep.

Convention wore me out a bit. Going to go pass out now. Will post news and stuff when I wake up.
