Let's see... interesting tidbits... hmmm...

Dead Rising has been banned in Germany. Man, I really feel sorry for you folks. Dead Rising is my the next biggest game on my "Oh my god I've gotta have it, I'm drooling all over myself" list of anticipated games. Only a few weeks left to wait, too!

City of Heroes/Villains is doing their first "double experience weekend" this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. EQ2 has been doing this for a while, and it's a really nice boost. I'm hoping my regular villain group can get together over the weekend and churn out some levels.

Speaking of EQ2, I've been back into it for a while now, this time with a new character on a PVP server, because I'm a sucker for punishment. I have to say, EQ2 PVP is some of the harshest I've experienced. Not only do you get experience for PVP kills (meaning you can level up entirely by hunting down your fellow players), but you risk losing items and money when you die. Like half of the money you have on you. You haven't felt pain until you realize moments before death that you forget to hit the bank before leaving the city, and this asshole who's about to kill you is moments away from inheriting half of your hard-earned savings.

But then again that works both ways, and occasionally you hit the jackpot. It's a nice added thrill to spice up regular adventuring in the wilds.

Thanks

You know, not a day goes by that I'm not thankful that I get to do this for a living. I consider myself very fortunate to be in the situation I'm in. But there are some days that that feeling is nearly overwhelming, when it really hits me. So for your part in making all of this happen, I want to say thank you.

And now, have some Portal.
