Well, I'm back from the incredible weekend that was Digital Overload 2007. I'm absolutely exhausted, but it was worth all the work. This year's event was bigger and better than last year's in pretty much every aspect. We had more tournaments, more prizes, more swag to give away, more attendees, more staff, more consoles, more everything. You really just have to see it. Check out our photo gallery of the event for some great pictures.
The attendees this year were just as great as ever. Really, I know I said it a few times over the loudspeakers, but thank you all so much for making Digital Overload such an outstanding success. I met hundreds of really cool gamers this weekend, and it just totally re-energizes me. It's such a great reminder of what I love so much about what I do, with the comic and with this particular event. It's all about having fun and I love seeing all of you have a blast all weekend at something I helped organize.
And Ni!, my fellow organizers, were once again the most incredible people to work with. There is no way I could make Digital Overload what it is without them. They're great at what they do, and they're even better friends. Down to the last guy and gal, I love 'em all and I feel so fortunate to work with them on this.
And a huge thanks to all of our sponsors. SUMO, for providing us with a ton of great beanbags, which people absolutely loved all weekend. Ideazon for great prizes and coming to the event to run some fun contests. FSP for great power supply prizes and t-shirts, and inflatable balloon thingies that the attendees had a blast with. Gaming United for setting up a booth to sell games, swag and more. Nvidia, Alienware, Velocity Micro, Play-Asia.com, Crucial and ZeStuff for lots of great prizes and swag to give away!
This event was better this year in large part because of your suggestions. Every year we want to look at what we accomplished and find places to make it even more fun and exciting the following year. I've set up a thread for suggestions, like we did last year, so tell us what you liked or would like to see added/done differently at 2008's event.
If you couldn't make it this year, I really hope you can join us for Digital Overload 2008!

After I had finished making Monday's strip at Digital Overload this past weekend, I decided to spend a bit of time goofing off with the artwork. I also let Zack and some of the attendees try out the Cintiq that I use for my digital work. I told them I'd post the goof-off strip, so here it is.
