Constant state of flex

Don't worry, we'll get back to the story soon. Think of it as 'cutting to a commercial'. Last week was pretty heavy, and I think we could all use a little break with some lighthearted, unrelated humor.

My opinion here is one as a complete outsider, never having played a game of D&D in my life, but I've been poking around some 4th Edition stuff recently, and I see a lot of people complaining. And while I may not be familiar with D&D, I am familiar with people whining due to change.

My points would basically be this: It's not like all your 3rd Edition books are going to burst into flame with the release of 4th Edition, right? So if you really hate 4thEd that much, so what? Just keep playing your 3rd Edition, and let the rest of the world move forward.

So I'm happy to report that The Incredible Hulk game is damned good. It's basically Ultimate Destruction 2, which is exactly what I'd hoped for.

There are certain less-than-stellar aspects, and I'll get them out of the way first. Basically all voice acting and every cutscene is... how to put this gently... HORRIBLE. I mean, really, they're pretty bad. Which is surprising to me, because the voices are provided by the film actors, and they are some very respectable actors, Edward Norton, William Hurt, Tim Roth. It sounds like they read their lines while on tranquilizers or something.

Fortunately, the cutscenes don't detract from the rest of the game, which is all gravy. Tons of destruction, tons of cool combos, moves and secrets to unlock, lots of collectibles to find, etc. The graphics are pretty good, and New York City is really impressive. Not GTA4-impressive, but still pretty nice.

If you liked Ultimate Destruction, or just want to take control of the Hulk and wreck some shit, I'd recommend this game.

So the comic (so to speak) is up. Been wanting to do this for a while. We're getting back to Ethan and Lilah on Friday, so I figured today was as good a time as any.

Will turn it into desktop wallpapers later on today.
